It's my life, but His story

Movies have successfully convinced us that we are the leading characters in the story. We are the nexus around which everyone and everything orbits, working either for or against us; the heroes of the saga.
What if our perception is warped?

The Main Character
Contrary to popular belief, we are not the protagonists in life. Also, not the antagonists. Cultures have created stigmas to excuse the good and bad experiences in life. Words like karma, good- & bad luck, fate, odds, etc. are thrown around in an attempt to justify our pitfalls and peaks. All an elaborate scheme to keep attention away from the true Hero.
The Greatest Story
Take a glance at the Bible and you might argue that it is filled with villains and heroes in their own right. It is though? Who is the focus of every retelling? It's easy to miss His hand in the free-will mess that muddles the stories.
Think of people not as puppets, but as the cogs in a great machine. It may splutter and groan as it does the job, but when one cog decides to pursue its true purpose, the machine gets the job done a bit smoother.
The Greatest Sacrifice
When we follow Jesus, we declare that our lives are put towards the effort of bringing glory to His name. He has fought the greatest battle and freed us from the sins of this world. Not because it was easy, not because it was fun, but because of His love for us.
